|Faded Memories is a Nostalgic Superstock drag car. It was discovered, built, loved and raced by a gentleman from Kansas City area. His health forced the sale of his beloved car.
The car was discovered near Nashville, TN in 1986. It was a 44,000 mile six-cylinder Power-Glide car. It was in absolutely perfect condition. Today, it has yet to turn 46,000 miles.
Dave put together an awesome machine. Not only was it built to perform, but it was built for dependability. While running constant 10.50's, the ability to race time and again with only preventative maintenance keeps it fun. At this time, the engine has minimal passes since rebuilt and Dave estimates it has at least 200 more before it needs attenion.
The 409 was streched out to a 482. It gets fuel from a pair of Carter 700cfm carbs and spark from a MSD 3-step ignition system. It has Stahl big tube headers, a pair of Holley blue pumps, a Pete Jackson gear drive and all that powers a THM transmission.
You will leave on the transmission brake. Power goes through a one piece driveshaft to a 12 bolt rear end with 4.56 gears and a Mark Williams spool and axles. Wildwood disc brakes on front and rear keep it safe. We just installed a new safety harness. The car is built to safety level beyond its capabilites.

|The wheels are Crager super tricks with M/T's on front and Phoenix nine inch slicks on the rear.
This car goes fast not only due to big power, but because of light weight. It only weighs 3600 with fluids and driver. Fiberglass fenders, doors, decklid, hood and bumpers cut 100's of pounds. Lexan side windows, rear seat delete, and spartan interior help, too.
Faded Memories started performing in 1988. It has had the past two seasons to rest while Dave recuiperated. I am putting it back in the winners circle immediately.
We also have a trailer that comes equipped with drawers and boxes full of parts. Dave is very meticulous, cautious and maintenance-minded. He made sure Faded Memories comes with what it takes to perform with the best. You can have the first option to purchase the trailer built specifically for this car.
The quality of Faded Memories is unbeliveable. You would think it just came from the builder. It truely is a show car. You will be amazed, just as I was.
We hope the next owner loves the car like Dave did. It is deserving of the care he offered for the past 23 years. You will be rewarded many times over if you choose this car for your own.
