This is the last year of the Falcon style Rancheros. We sold this one a few years ago to a friend. He improved it greatly, enjoyed driving it and gave us the opportunity to buy it back.
Originally red, it was completely and professionally changed to a Metallic Dark Blue found on 2006 Cadillacs. The interior was changed and redone. The underside and engine bay were spiffed up. The bed was repaired and lined.
In addition, the Flowmaster exhaust is new, the suspension was lowered and new wheels/tires installed. The chrome and stainless were removed and either polished or replated. The brakes were gone through and all mechanicals updated.
When he got done with it, it really looked and sounded great. It is a wonderful driver. The 289 is very healthy. With power steering, it turns easily. The Cruise-o-Matic works perfectly. The rear gears are good for fuel economy and freeway crusing.
This little truck is show worthy. The body is straight and the paint was correctly applied. The brightwork looks...BRIGHT. I like the wheel and tire combo and the stance.
The carpet, headliner, dashpad and door panels are all new and correct. The seats are very plush 6-way power buckets from a '90 Chrysler. The look nice and provide outstanding comfort.
We are in the midst of installing a modern stereo receiver with CD/MP3 and new speakers. The dash was already cut. We feel the next owner will want modern sound.
Rich really improved this Ranchero. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to own it again. Now it is your chance. Viewed: 859 times.
