This is an exceptional hotrod. I will call it a traditional rod, some may prefer street rod. It was professionally built. It looks and acts the part.
The LaFayette ended in 1937. The production was low, just over 600 cars. The lines and style are unique. This is the end of a very beautiful design.
To make it an enjoyable, road worthy car the build was comissioned to Frame Up Wheel Works. They installed a TRW MII tubular A-arm front suspension, a Camaro ten bolt, GM 350 crate engine, and a THM 350 transmission. They used a Lokar shifter, TCI brakes, Painless wiring harness, HEI, Holley double pumper, and block hugger headers to bring it all together. This car is a treat to drive. You can monitor all that is happening with VDO gauges. 13,980 miles since the build.

We like the original look to the interior. The upholstery really suits the car. The GM tilt column and RoyceCB/AM/FM stereo add to the enjoyment.
We like the look of the Fulton visor in front of the carriage top. The heavy metallic teal accentuates the style of this Nash. We covered the Centerline wheels with Moon discs to make the styling more timeless. She rolls on near new BFG radials.
We just had the body refinished to bring it back to show quality. Twelve years and some miles had started to show, so it is now ready to show.
You certainly couldn't build this hotrod for our asking price if the car was given to you for free. Now try to find such a unique platform as this nice 1937 Nash. What an exceptional hotrod.
