transpixel Who would think of a four door sedan as a sleeper? Certainly not I.
We purchased this car from a collector. He bought it from the original Iowa owner. It has rather low mileage of approximately 71,000 miles.
The collector owned it for about ten years. He drove it sparingly. Much of the time, it sat under cover in his storage building.
That time didn't hurt it, but it lost its gleam. The paint had dulled, the wheels had surface rust, the carb need to be rebuilt. The worst part of storage was the rear bumper rusted under the cover. transpixel

The interior, engine compartment and trunk did not need improving. Some cleaning and refreshing is all that was required. These areas are in very nice condition and appear very original.
This car is very spartan. Rubber floor mat, poverty hubcaps, no power steering or brabes. Yes, it does have the Dual Range Hydromatic transmission and, get this, a factory Rochester four barrel. This "grandpa" car will really get up and go!
What a great driver. Nice looking, too. A great value for the family or as an entry into 50's Oldsmobiles. A bit of a sleeper as well. transpixel
