transpixel It pays to start with a solid car. The Colorado man that restored this car in the early 90's began with a perfectly solid Texas car with a blown engine. It had been off the road for many years and was very complete.
He performed a very comprehensive body-on restoration. Nary a part was left unimproved. We have recipts and notes to support the effort and expense that went into making this car so nice.
The engine was replaced by a rebuilt 324 from the same year. It was equipped with a rebuilt and correct Rochester 4GC carburetor. The radiator was boiled and repaired. The exhaust manifolds were planed for a complete new system installed.
The front end was completely rebuilt and aligned. The braking system was overhauled. The suspension was replaced. Just a few years ago, the suspension was lowered two inches and new Coker radial wide whites were installed.
The interior was gutted, the glass and rubber seals removed, all trim taken off and the sheetmetal was stripped and repaired. A complete color change, both interior and exterior was performed. The choices were Amethyst and Silver. The stainless was straightened and polished, the chrome was replated, the glass replaced and new rubber seals were istalled. All window regulators and door components were refurbished. New lenses, bulbs and fixtures were installed. transpixel
