This Florida Mustang came to me as a trade-in. Perhaps a bit new, but certainly a collectible vehicle.
There were only 349 Ultra White Cobra convertible built with the Medium Parchment interior and the Parchment convertible top in 1999. There were only a total of 4,055 Cobra convertibles built in 1999.
This was the first year for the body design, first year of the independent rear suspension and the 4.6 liter DOHC 32 valve engine gained 15 HP. All Cobras had 5 speed manual transmissions.
These cars also had four wheel disc brakes, with the fronts being 13 inch rotors by Brembo. The braking system was anti-lock.
All Cobras had leather upholstery. This car also has the power driver’s seat. It is equipped with power windows, locks and top. The sound system is the factory AM/FM/CD/Cassette.
The factory SVT wheels are 17 inch and they came wrapped in BFG Comp T/A tires. They were Z-rated. The tires on this car were recently replaced to the original standard.
This car came from a very nice collection. The owner is meticulous and strict about maintenance. It was well cared-for. It has not been damaged or repaired. I can tell that the front bumper cover has been repainted.
This car is very close to the original configuration with exception of the grill and the air filtration now being a K&N filter.
All features function properly. The doors lock via the key. There is also a remote. The original jack, wrench and spare are properly stowed. The owner’s manual is in the glove box.
There is a lot of life left in this car. It has been driven very sparingly and never in adverse weather conditions. It is 21 years old now and has only been driven 49,694 miles.
You are ready to go! Just keep the tank full and drive. You will enjoy the power, the handling and the braking. If you are a Mustang fan, you know these cars are great to drive, yet rare and desirable.
