Please believe when I tell, this car is ready to be enjoyed. The man the traded it to us just spent $7500 on maintenance and repairs! Just in the past three months! He is eccentric to say the least. He is paranoid about being stranded, fluid leaks and security. Unfortunately, he gave his repair shop catre blanche to improve the car he just purchased. We have the receipts and they go with the car. In the meantime, he lost his job. It took his entire savings to pay the shop bills. He was interested in selling me the car outright, but in the end, he traded down to get another cool car and some cash. The highlights: new suspension, new tires, alignment, new starter, transmission flush and gaskets, new oil pan, shifter rebuilt, complete fluid exchange, gauge repairs, new belts and hoses, new filters, etc. All features function properly. The car drives very well and is quite responsive. It is absolutely ready to be enjoyed. Cosmetically, it is as sold new. The paint is shiny and smooth over a rust and dent free body. I have to believe it was refinished, but two of us were unable to find evidence that it was. All glass is very nice. The wheels are good, but not absolutely perfect. Overall, the exterior is very, very nice. The interior has not been touched. There are a couple of minimal sags in the headliner. The seats have a few small singes. Otherwise, there are no tears, stains or cracks in the cloth or vinyl portions. The interior features work. This car has cruise, tilt, AM/FM cassette with 5 band graphic equalizer, rear defogger, remote trunk release, factory tachometer and Lightening Rod shifter. There is a full-sized spare, bumper jack and lug wrench in the trunk. You also get a very nice custom- fit car cover and two sets of keys. The ignition, doors, trunk and gas cap all lock/unlock properly. This is a real-deal Hurst/Olds. The SPID decal affixed to the deck lid displays the W40 rpo code. All other notable Hurst/Olds features are evident. These cars are continuing to appreciate in value. If you are under 50, you may realize that there just aren’t too many collectable cars from your youth. The 84 Hurst/Olds is one of the best. This one has only been driven 71,xxx miles. On top of that, it has been completely and thoroughly inspected, repaired and maintained within the past 1000 miles and three months. It is ready for your enjoyment!
