Certainly there is some history behind this car. But we don’t’ know it. We are not even sure it was raced. This is what we do know: Brian Logghe Series II chassis, rebuilt Dana 60 with posi and 4.56 gears, spindle mount front runners, ladder bars, coil over shocks, chrome straight axle and linkage, Wilwood disc brakes, Aluminum tin work all done, parachute, very nice body.
After a year of contemplation, we had the car lettered by the Chicago Brushmasters. Some of the best artists in the World adorned the car as a fund-raiser for Ronald McDonald House.
I stumbled upon an old Mike Kuhl built 426 Hemi that was part of an early 80’s drag boat project that stalled. John Blaesing rebuilt the engine and carburetors. We found a rebuilt 727 transmission. Now the fun begins!
Through a series of lucky events and with my eyes wide open, I stumbled upon most of the fuel, exhaust, cooling and braking systems. Much of what I found is nostalgic.
My trusted fabricator, Steve Rice, took the puzzle pieces and made a car out of them! You need to see his craftsmanship to understand his commitment to safety and durability. He sure came up with some great ideas!
My big idea was squelched. Because I am too big! At 6’4”, I am not able to fit in the car, even without a helmet or racing suit. So the Patriot Funny Car is for sale.
There are so many neat futures and design tricks that this car deserves your personal inspection. I am confident you will be impressed.
I am confident this is a turn-key car. Other than some adjustments that you will make at the track and to suit your personal taste, the car is ready to race.
I am certain my investment far out weights my asking price. My reward will be knowing that the car is being raced and enjoyed. I will expect you to keep me informed about your adventures.
