This car was sold new at Town and Country GM od Harrisonburg, VA. Today that GM dealership is Joe Bowman. The car lived most of its life in Virginia and was both well-cared for and sparingly driven. Today the car remains completely original with 43,6xx miles on the odometer.
When you inspect the car, it will be obvious that this is the correct mileage. Everything is very nice. The pedal pad and interior wear is minimal. It is very sanitary beneath the hood. The trunk looks original and the original spare tire still has nubs on it!
All features function. The A/C is cold, the power windows and seat move properly, the Cruise Control works and the radio plays. The doors lock via key, the remote trunk release works, the lights all work and the jack resides in the trunk.
This car has complete original paint. It has never been touched up! Yes, there are some beauty marks, but the body is straight and the Bamboo paint still shines nicely. The tan vinyl top is in great condition with no bubbles beneath it.
The chrome and stainless are both straight and shiny. The bumpers look great. The pot metal is in good condition. Everything is where it should be with no pieces missing.
The interior is also in nice condition. The upholstery shows minimal wear. The dash is not cracked. All seat belts are in place, including shoulder belts for both front and rear passengers. The interior chrome is nice. The tilt/telescope steering wheel works perfectly, as does the original radio. The clock is not working.
The Owners book and Protecto-plate are in the glove box. A folder containing maintenance history and mileage documentation is in the trunk.
The 455 starts and runs great. New free-flowing exhaust gives it a powerful and pleasing tone. The tires and battery are new. All you need to do is keep gas in the tank.
The Toronado was an expensive model. The owners typically had the means to keep their cars maintained, detailed and garage kept. In this case, it gets even better because it was drive sparingly.
